The Shareholders of Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) IMAN Venture Cooperative Society Ltd (ICOV) Zaria have been urged to boost their shares for the progress of the society.
President of the society, Dr. Mustapha Yakubu gave the charge while addressing shareholders during ICOV Business Meeting held at Red Seat Theatre, ABUTH Shika.
He said, it is only members who have shares that can make the society to grow by inviting others to join and acquire their shares.
The president lamented low attendance to programmes organized by the society, which he said must change for the society to make progress.
Speaking on the Housing scheme, Dr. Yakubu said there are three categories of for members, according to their contribution and income.
He explained that for one to own a bungalow, it amounts to a maximum of 10 years deductions from the beginning of the to the last deduction.
“The one bedroom apartment is N7,500,000.00 the two bedroom is N9,500.000.00 and the three bedroom is N11,500.000.00 respectively,” he informed.
On the Ummah Shop, the committee reminded members that there are enough commodities in stock at affordable prices, when compared with the prices in the market.
The committee also notified members that they can make purchases online as well as place orders to be delivered immediately without additional transport fares.
In his message, the Ameer of IMAN through Dr. Abdulrazaq Ayuba the Secretary General, said that ICOV loan given by the society is meant to assist members and is interest free.
He called on every shareholder to double their shares for their own benefit.
The Ameer called on the people to actively participate in promoting ICOV activities anywhere they are, through sensitization and awareness campaigns on the importance of ICOV programmes.
