The fall of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in last general elections as well as its present condition has been attributed to the lack of keeping to the zoning system of the Party.

According to him, the party inch toward its water loo when it started going contrary to initial agreement of zoning system from 2007, and 2011 where PDP members in electives position at all level dropped and finally loosed in 2015.
He added that PDP as the older party in Nigeria which was form by Nigerians in the interest of the people got carried away by its recorded successes, as such distracted from the initial basic interest the party was form on, and it led to its losing prominent positions.
He expressed optimism that the PDP party will be rebuilt and re-branded to meet up with people need if the right person is put in power.
Chief Dokpesi while pleading with the state executives and
members of the party to forgive the national leaders for anti-party activities that led to the dawn fall of the PDP, noted that with the members coming back as one, the party will rise again.
He however solicited for the support of Kaduna State delegates in the forthcoming party election, assuring them of his readiness to carry every body when giving the mandate to lead the party.
Some of the state members, who spoke during the occasion, expressed their satisfaction with the campaign visit and assured him of their support going by his track record.
Responding, the Kaduna State PDP Chairman, Hassan Hyat noted that his state is the only one in the North West that was able to get one senate seat as well as some members into the House of representative in last election, as such the state party delegates will give him their support in the forthcoming election.
