A twelve day old baby was found in her full dress in cardboard dumped by unknown person at a refuse dump behind old Police barrack Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi state.
Sources close to Polytechnic Cafe who pleaded anonymity revealed to New Nigerian that it was a man who scavenges for food from dust-bin found the baby in cardboard.
The source further stated that when the news spread in Birnin Kebbi metropolis, the Birnin Kebbi Divisional Police Command sent security men and took the baby and kept her under their custody.
When contacted, the Divisional Police Office in Birnin Kebbi, he confirmed it and said that the division has already reported the matter to Birnin Kebbi Local Government Social Welfare Department for onward submission of the new born girl to orphanage home.
New Nigerian also gathered that Police of the division has already swing into action searching for the suspect that committed the act.
