PDP on Eid El-Fitr: It’s time for self-reflection

 The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, on behalf of the entire members of the party Family has called on Nigerians to use the occasion of the holy festival of Eid-El-Fitr to reflect on various sermon received during the Ramadan to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria and to inculcate all the lessons learnt beyond the Salah celebration.
The PDP in its Eid-El-Fitr message signed by Prince Dayo Adeyeye, member of the National Caretaker Committee in charge of Publicity matters, urged all Nigerians irrespective of their religions to eschew all forms of bitterness and use the period for self-reflection.
“As a Party, we wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters happy Eid-El-Fitr and urged them to use this period to reflect on the virtue of faith, service and total submission to the will of the Almighty God as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed”.
In the same vein, he urged Nigerians to pray for its leaders to be divinely guided in piloting the affairs of the nation especially at these trying times. The Party cautioned the ruling class to desist from actions and inactions that tend to divide the nation and threatens its unity.
Finally, the PDP called on all Nigerians to join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari’s led Federal Government to deliver on his campaign promises by giving the people the desired dividends of democracy as promised.
The Party wishes all Nigerians, a peaceful and joyful celebration.
