Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, of Borno State has supervised the distribution of relief materials to victims of flood in Shehuri Ward of Maiduguri metropolis.
The event took place on Sunday, at Babagana Wakil Higher Islamic School Dandal Way, Shehuri ward near the Shehu of Borno’s Palace.
Flood victims from Limanti ward were the primary beneficiaries, receiving both food and non-food items aimed at alleviating their sufferings.
The intervention was part of Governor Zulum’s continuous efforts to provide support to the vulnerable population affected by flood disaster in the state. While the Flood Disaster Food Relief Committee has sub divided themselves into sub committees for effective discharge of their responsibilities to the affected tes victims and communities within the state capital and ita environs.
There was clear indications that the inaugurated estate committees on distribution of food and non food items as well as disbursement of cash support after the assessment committee must ha e done it’s work daily without weekend or holidays can never be over emphasized with the level of positive records.
