Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity, Hon. Adedeji Olajide on Thursday, said there is the need for quality assurance in Nigeria’s digital landscape.
Hon Olajide Odidiomo stated this at the 3rd edition of the Nigeria premier Software Testing Conference, Test Nigeria 3.0, organized by the Nigerian Software Testing Qualification Board (NGSTQB).
According to Hon Olajide Odidiomo ensuring the security of the country’s digital frontier requires robust quality assurance mechanisms, adding that as Nigeria continues to leverage technology to drive economic growth and development, it is crucial to prioritize the security and integrity of its digital infrastructure
Hon Olajide Odidiomo charged stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector operators and individuals, to work collaboratively to ensure that Nigeria’s digital space remains secure and reliable.
“We must recognize the critical role quality assurance plays in safeguarding our digital frontier. It is imperative that we prioritize investment in robust testing and validation protocols to protect our digital assets,” he said.
The conference featured presentations and panel discussions on various topics, including software testing, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
NGSTQB TestNigeria 3.0 conference provided a platform for stakeholders to share knowledge, experiences and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
The conference themed “Security in the spotlight: Safeguarding digital frontier through quality assurance” brought together industry experts in the software testing and cybersecurity community.
