Justice Mu’azu Abdulkadir Pindiga, a former Chief Judge of Gombe State, has raised concerns over the slow pace of exploration at the Kolmani oil wells, which are situated in the Pindiga Emirate of Gombe State and parts of Bauchi State.
Speaking to journalists in Gombe, he emphasized the critical importance of the project and called on the federal government not to delay its progress.
Pindiga stressed that the Kolmani oil project holds significant potential for boosting the nation’s economy by increasing revenue and creating job opportunities for citizens.
“This is not a project that should be taken lightly,” he noted, highlighting the long-term benefits it could bring once completed.
Despite the delays, the former Chief Judge expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu would push forward with the project, especially after Governor Inuwa Yahaya recently met with the president to discuss the oil exploration.
On a related note, Justice Pindiga extended his condolences to the people of Borno State following the recent floods that caused widespread devastation.
He commended the federal government for its swift response and the allocation of N3 billion in aid to support the victims, describing the gesture as an extraordinary act of generosity and compassion by the president.
He further urged the relevant authorities to take proactive measures to prevent future flooding disasters across the country.
