The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South West, Hon Adedeji Olajide Odidiomo on Monday, asked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to close ranks and unite ahead of future elections in the country.

Hon Olajide Odidiomo said this while speaking to newsmen on the Edo gubernatorial election, which the PDP lost to the All Progressives Congress (APC) last Saturday.

According to the lawmaker, the party lost Edo State election to internal bickering within the PDP ranks in the state, adding that unity is crucial for the party’s success in subsequent elections.

He stressed that there is the need for the People’s Democratic Party to learn from past mistakes and move forward with a united front as the 2027 general elections approach.

Hon Olajide Odidiomo while emphasizing the need for the party to put aside its differences and work together to achieve victory in the 2027 general elections pointed out that “unity is a necessary and strategic tool needed to strengthen the party’s position and ensure a more cohesive approach to future elections”.

“The PDP’s ability to put aside internal differences and present a united front will be crucial in determining the success of the party in future polls”, he said.
