Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has graced the annual durbar fiesta popularly known as “Sallar Gani” in Daura and assured traditional rulers of more support.
Governor Dikko Radda was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Honourable Jabiru Abdullahi Tsauri and his Principal Private Secretary, Honourable Abdullahi Turaji.
Governor Dikko Radda and his entourage according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed were received by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Nasir Yahya Daura.
The event showcased a colorful display of Daura’s rich cultural heritage, with traditional title holders from the emirate parading on horseback, accompanied by drummers playing various praise songs.
The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq while speaking through the Danejin Daura, Alhaji Abdulmumini Salihu, expressed gratitude to Governor Radda, stating that, “We appreciate the Governor’s proactive approach in implementing various policies aimed at improving the lives of our people.”
The Emir particularly commended the Governor’s commitment to addressing security challenges in the state.
The Emir further noted, “The Radda-led administration’s efforts in clearing outstanding death gratuities and the ongoing payments to retirees have significantly benefited the families left behind by departed civil servants.”
While pledging the continued support of traditional rulers to the state government, the Emir called on members of the legislature to remain steadfast partners in ensuring the rapid development of the state.
Governor Radda, in his response, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Katsina State while simultaneously driving forward-thinking policies for the benefit of all residents.
