There Is Need For National Dialogue On State Of Nation – Hon Olajide Odidiomo

Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology and Cyber-Security, Hon Adedeji Olajide Odidiomo has said that there is the need for a national dialogue on the state of the nation.

Hon Olajide Odidiomo stated last Monday, while speaking on the state of the nation through his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha,

According to the lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West / Ibadan South-West federal constituency, as a way out for the country from its present situation, the time has come for a national dialogue that would bring together stakeholders from various sectors, including government, private sector, civil society, and labor unions.

Specifically, Hon Olajide Odidiomo tasked President Bola Tinubu to convene the national dialogue without further delay.

Attributing rising inflation, unemployment, and poverty rates as the bane of the nation’s current economic crisis, Hon Olajide Odidiomo expressed deep concern over the state of the economy, particularly .

“We cannot continue to ignore the cries of our citizens, who are struggling to make ends meet.It is our responsibility as leaders to come together and find a way forward,” he said.

Hon Olajide Odidiomo added, ‘ We cannot afford to delay.The fate of our nation and the well-being of our citizens depend on our ability to act decisively and collectively,”

He pointed out the dialogue would aim to identify the root causes of the economic crisis and develop a comprehensive plan to address them.

While highlighting the need for transparency and accountability in governance, as well as the importance of investing in education, healthcare, and infrastructure to drive economic growth, he said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should convene the national dialogue without further delay, emphasized that time is of the essence.
