The Chief Executive Officer, CEO QAT Foundation, Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho Adenike has extended her charity outreach to yet another 500 residents of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja.

Tejuosho in a programme held in Abuja on Monday, donated essential food items to vulnerable individuals as part of her unwavering commitment to alleviating the suffering of the less privileged in the society.

This is coming barely a week after the philanthropist awarded scholarships to 100 out of school children in her efforts to touch lives positively, to help cushion the effects of economic crisis across the country.

The humanitarian, while presenting the food items to the beneficiaries mainly women and children, in her remarks said that her motivation was to put smiles on the faces of the people, especially now that the average Nigerians are passing through hard times.

She added that every well meaning Nigerian at such a critical time has the responsibility to make a positive impact in the community, even as she noted that societal growth and development is a collective efforts.

Tejuosho said, “I am only doing what I can to help those in need. I believe we all have a responsibility to make a positive impact in our communities at such a time that the country is passing through hard times.

The president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda tailored towards sustainable growth has caused a temporary hardship, meanwhile it is for the general good if we can understand and bear with the situation for the main time because these policies are actually for our collective advantages in the nearest time to come.” she said.

Beneficiaries of the food palliative, who were mostly women and children, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Tejuosho for her selflessness, saying it would go a long way in cushioning the effects of the current economic hardship.

One of the beneficiaries, who spoke with newsmen shortly after the event, Mr. Abdullahi Dantani expressed that, “God will bless and reward her abundantly for this kindness because we are struggling to make ends meet, and this food will help us survive.

“This is the kind of people that we need in our governance space, people who prioritizes the welfare of the people not for their own selfish gain. The best way to solve Nigeria’s challenges is to give people like Hajiya Tejuosho the opportunity to serve the larger populace because if she can use her personal resources to support the less privilege, then we are confident that she will do better if given the privilege to serve at higher position.”

Items donated included, rice, beans, noodles, vegetable oil, and other essential food items. The beneficiaries were also given cash gifts to support their small-scale businesses.
