Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was in Katsina to offer his condolences to the Yar’adua’s family over the death of Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua, mother of former President, late Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
The former President said, “This woman, Hajiya Dada made me what I am.”
Mr Ebele Johnathan according to a statement by Chief Press Secretary to Governor Radda, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed was warmly received at Umaru Musa International Airport by the State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, accompanied by his deputy, Honourable Faruk Lawal Jobe and other members of the Executive Council.
The dignitaries further proceeded to Yar’adua quarters, where Senator Abdulazeez Yar’adua received the delegation where the former President Jonathan shared his personal memories of the late Hajiya Dada Yar’adua.
Reflecting on their encounters, Goodluck Johnathan Ebele fondly described the deceased as a “Mother for all,” stressing her nurturing role that, extended far beyond her immediate family and touched the lives of many across the nation.
He sympathized with the family and prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
Similarly, the former National Security Adviser, General Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, extended his heartfelt condolences to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, the Yar’adua family and People of Katsina State over the passing of Hajiya Dada Yar’adua, mother of former President Umar Musa Yar’adua who died on September3, 2024 at the age 102.
The distinguished military veteran’s presence added to the profound respect held for the late matriarch across Nigeria’s political and military circles.
During his visit, General Gusau offered prayers for the deceased, reflecting on her significant role not only as a mother to a former president but as a revered figure in the nation’s history.
