Geologist, Kana Ahmed Abubakar, the General Manager Nasarawa State Water Board has been honored with Doctoral Degree from Greenfield University, a testament to his lasting impact on national and international communities.
The Honorary Doctoral Degree remains a significant and public acknowledgment that brings both prominence to the recipient and distinction to an Institution as a distinction is reserved exclusively for individuals whose achievements have imparted positively .
The event which took place in Abuja over the weekend, attracted who is who I corporate and public sectors , including the family members.
New Nigerian Newspapers gathered that the Greenfield adhered closely to the criteria established by the institution. It is also noteworthy that an honorary degree is awarded only in recognition of extraordinary and lasting distinction.
According to the institution, the Award representing the highest intellectual and moral values of the awardee and it also reflects the very character and quality of the university itself.
“Dr Abubakar unarguably has fulfilled all those requirements having contributed immensely to the betterment and development of the society in many spheres over the years and his reputation has remained intact.”
Dr. Abubakar’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Jos, followed by a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Hydrogeology.
Speaking in an interview with selected journalists, Geologist Kana Ahmed said the robust foundation has propelled him to greatness, driving his extensive career in sustainable water solutions and geological advancements.
The Honorary Doctoral Degree awarded he said is more than a recognition of his achievements, ” it reflects the highest intellectual and moral values of the University itself. It acknowledges his significant contributions to the cultural, scientific, and social development of the world, sustained over years and documented for posterity as he never requested or lobby for it”
The General Manager, Nasarawa State Water Board attributed his moderate achievements in life to God Almighty, his late father and the governor of Nasarawa State, Engr A A Sule who despite his busy schedules monitored the progress at the Water Board.
Under his visionary leadership, Geologist Abubakar has spearheaded the development and implementation of numerous water supply projects across Nigeria, transforming the lives of urban and rural communities.
