Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua, mother of the former President, late Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’adua and the former Chief of General Staff Supreme Military Council, late General Shehu Musa Yar’adua is dead.
Aged 102, Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua died in her country home at Yar’adua Quarters in Katsina metropolis after a protracted illness.
According to the family sources, late Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua would be laid to rest by 4:30 pm in accordance with an Islamic injunctions on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Danmarna Cemetery in Katsina metropolis where her late husband Matawallen Katsina and former (Lagos Minister) Minister of Interior, late Musa Yar’adua and sons late General Shehu Musa and President, late Umaru Musa Yar’adua were buried.
Until her death, Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua is survive by four children namely:- Hajiya Habi Musa Yar’adua, Hajiya Hafsat and a serving Senator representing Katsina Central Senatorial Zone, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul’Aziz Musa Yar’adua popularly known as (Audu Soja) as well as Sule Musa Yar’adua.
Notable, among the Grand Children was the former Minister of State Defence, Alhaji Murtala Shehu Yar’dua.
