It was confusion galore in Apete area of Ibadan during the week as remnants of a decomposed body of a man was found in the bedroom of his house four years after his miraculous disappearance.
New Nigerian gathered that the man was last seen by his neighbours four years ago, thinking that he left for his base in Port Harcourt after one of his occasional visits to Ibadan.
It was learnt that early this week, the landlords association in the area, resolved into engaging some labourers in cutting the weeds already taking over the man’s house which is also constituting nuisance to the whole community as snakes and other reptiles have turned the building into their abode.
The labourers were said to have scaled through the fence to start cutting the grass during which they discovered that the man’s car was parked within the premises and has been covered with grass that have almost taken over the building.
Eye witness account said upon the discovery, the labourers immediately alerted the landlords to the house where it was later found out that the gate to the house was locked from inside.
One of landlords was said to have peeped into the rooms in the house through the window, only to discover the skeleton of the decomposed corpse of the man on his bed with a phone in his hand.
The landlords were said to have immediately reported the incident at the Apete Police Station and a reliable Police source told the New Nigerian the command is presently carrying out a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
