Electorate  from  Saye ward in Bichi Local Government Area have called for the reversal of suspension order given to their elected councilor, Malam Nura Bayero Saye for challenging those who claimed the total repairs of electricity installations in his area.

In a special interaction with reporters on Tuesday at Saye, the people of the ward condemned the suspension of the councilor and sought urgent reversal, for the progress of democracy, unity and political development in the Eastern part of Bichi Local Government Area.

Malam Aliyu Mustapha Saye told the visitors that, ” our councilor did not challenge those who claimed that their electricity installations have been repaired and put to use due to lack of respect for his leaders, rather, to bring out the real facts of the matter for full scrutiny”.

He lamented that the suspension was a great slap on democracy, calling on the executive chairman, the legislative council, the APC stakeholders to reverse their decision of suspending their duly elected councilor because he did not mean to embarrass anybody on the issue of electricity installations, but to bring out the truth.

In his remarks,  Malam Isyaku Yahaya disclosed that, ” the issue of repairing our electricity installations and connections is not done in anyway, but those who claim that the installations were repaired and put to use did not speak about what really happened, may be due to interests, but what our councilor said is that there is the need for action over the repairs of Saye electricity rather than lip service which is absolutely true”.

All those who spoke to newsmen at Saye described the suspension as surprising, following efforts of their councilor to ensure that his electorate benefited fully from the democratic dividends, calling on the executive chairman and his lieutenants to reverse the suspension in order to restore democracy.

Most of the electric poles were seen broken, while the service wires remained on ground which affected the electrification of Saye Zuru, Unguwar Salihai, Gidan Gishiri, Gidan Malamai Bankaura, Bumbun and Kwamarawa.

The electorate reminded both the executive, legislative, APC leaders and stakeholders that Eastern Bichi has been described as a political stronghold where the people of all categories come out massively during elections and reversing their councilor’s suspension order would certainly ensure cordial relationship between the political class and the entire people of the area.
