Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Chediya GRA Zaria, has adjourned sitting on the case between Commissioner of Police and Alh. Abubakar Iliyasu (BRIGHT) to 1st March 2017 for the accused person to start making defence on the evidences given against him, after pleading not guilty on the charges read to him.
Abubakar Iliyasu (BRIGHT) was standing trail before Chief Magistrate Grade I Auwal Musa on a case of defamation of character, theft and public insult on one Yusuf Salisu (Shaka).
Reading the court ruling after hearing four witnesses brought by the complainants, the court have proved their evidence under section 160 cpc in which the accused person pleaded not guilty on the charges mentioned against him.
Chief Magistrate Auwal Musa said, court have given Alh. Abubakar Iliyasu (BRIGHT) a chance to defend himself by calling on those that have testified against him to ask them questions if he has and also to bring his own witness as well he can give himself a self defence on the adjourned date 1st March,2017.
