74-yr Old Prof, Lady, Other Docked Over N34m Fraud

A 74-year old Professor identified as Yusufu Ameh Obaje and two others have been arraigned before a Lagos Federal High Court over allegedly obtaining by false pretence, the sum of N34, 000,000,00.

The Professor, alongside a lady named Sanni Abimbola Olive, 39 years, and Shedrack Babatunde Anjorin, 68 years were docked by the Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) for conspiracy and stealing  the sum from an oil & gas servicing firm.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the unit, SP Eyitayo Johnson made the disclosure in a statement to journalists in Lagos.

According to the PSFU spokesperson, “The money was obtained in two tranches of twenty-seven million Naira (N27,000,000.00) and seven million Naira (N7,000,000.00) supposedly to finance a contract awarded by NNPC to Golden Bimby Nigeria Limited/Sanni Abimbola Olive.

” The documents relating to the contract and landed property used as collateral for the credit facility were found to be forged.

“Suspects have been charged to the Federal High Court, Lagos on a 3-count charge as earlier stated”.
