A Zaria based vernacular newspaper, Taskira, has honoured three distinguished personalities with a special award for their individual outstanding performance among them Assistant Commissioner of Police Shehu umar Nadada of Nasarawa State Police Command.
Others honoured are Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Tsauri Tata, a 2015 Governortorial candidate in Katsina State under APGA and Former Member, Katsina State House of Assembly Alh. Lawal Isiyaku Tumburkai.
Speaking at the award presentation held at Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Hall, Barewa College Zaria, the Managing Director of Taskira Newspaper Alh. Yusuf Abdullahi said the awardees have distinguished themselves at their various fields of specializations.
Represented by the Editor of the Newspaper, Mustapha Abubakar Kajuru, he described the awardees as outstanding people who deserved to be honoured.
For ACP Nadada, he was honoured because of his professional quality which manifest in his career as a Police Officer.
On Tata Tsauri, his political struggle has made him a role model in the political circle as well as Tumburkai who contributed imensely in the development of his constituency.
