As schools session goes halfway through the term, prices of stateioneries have continued to increase in price on daily basis.
Parents found it difficult to continue the purchase of books with the increasing prices.
A survey at Sheik Abubakar Mahmud Gumi Central Market, where books are sold, showed some customer expressing dissatisfied on the increased in the prices of excise books.
A customer, Aliyu Ismail said  last week 40 leave excised book is sold at the rate of 6,300 per carton but this week is 7,600, 60 leave as at last week was sold at  7,300 but now is 7,800 per carton, 2A exercise book at 2,700 now at 3,300. Full scap paper that was 5, 500 last week now sell at 7,700.
Speaking to New Nigerian, some parents said that the increase in books generally is not funny at this time of hardship.
Another parent called on government and other stakeholders to do something urgently to rescue the situations.
