Former Assistant Coach with the Nigeria Olympic team, Coach Fatai Amoo was on Thursday unveiled as the new Technical Adviser of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan for the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League.
Speaking at the unveiling of the new Technical Adviser held at the office of the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barrister Abayomi Oke, the Commissioner said the coming back of Coach Amoo was a good omen of a brighter future for the 3SC.
Expressing his happiness over the coming of the coach, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, noted that Coach Amoo really has plan for 3SC because he was more concerned about the future of the team.
He added that the new coach “is ready to commit himself to the team with the signing of a two year-deal and we on our side, the welfare of the team will be paramount.”
In his remark, Coach Amoo declared that he is determined to make 3SC great again with his coming back, saying, “I want to make name for myself and 3SC. I have travel a little bit and wherever I get to, they always ask for Shooting Stars and Rangers, and that tells that 3SC is a big club and we must make it great again”.
The Technical Adviser while expressing his joy for coming back vowed that he would work to make the team great again in the continent by making money his secondary priority but would rather make name for himself.
He however assured of his readiness to work with his coaching crew, saying, “they are very good people because we know each other very well and I believe we will get things right”.
“I am very excited for being appointed as the Technical Adviser of 3SC as I don’t really have the fear because I know I’m back home and I feel very comfortable been in Ibadan. I am ready to take up the task and by the grace of God, we will conquer”.
Coach Amao who was in charge of the 3SC between 2009 and 2011, signed a two year-deal and is expected to commence work immediately.
