3SC players shun training over non payment of salaries, allowances, 10 match bonuses

There are strong indications that players of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan may have embarked on strike to protest non payment of their five months salaries, allowances and 10 match bonuses.
New Nigerian gathered that the strike indication emerged last Tuesday when the players stayed off training at the Lekan Salami Stadium venue of their daily train.
It was learnt that the 3SC Coaches said to have arrived the stadium ahead waited endlessly without any of the players showing up for training after the Sunday and Monday break for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
New Nigerian learnt that the coaching crew led by Coach Gbenga Ogunbote waited for the players at the stadium for over 2 hours.
Sources close to 3SC camp hinted that the players last week agreed to play the club’s match against Rangers International following payment of one month salary to them late Friday.
New Nigerian however gathered from sources close to the 3SC camp hinted that the club’s management team were to meet last Wednesday and review the situation towards ensuring that the players resumes training on time among other issues.
