‘We have to put politics aside and focus more on development and I want to urge the people of the state to support the idea  and  make it  work for the betterment of the state”
Emphasizing that the decision for the creation of the 35 LCDCs was initiated during the era of Late Lam Adesina, Hon Odebunmi urged Nigerians to continue praying for their leaders, saying, “we have to continue to pray for our leaders because they are the one in charge of the affairs of the nation and if we failed to do so, that means we are praying for disasters and failure which will not exempt anybody”
On his football competition among the primary school pupils in Surulere local government, Hon Odebunmi declared that it was to expose the talents in the pupils to the public as well as to unite the people of his constituency.
The competition played among 8 zones in the council was won by Arolu Team after defeating Iresaadu zone with 5-4 penalty shoot out while Gambari zone won the third position.
