Youth in Nasarawa North Zone have welcomed the decision of former gubernatorial aspirant and philanthropist, Alhaji Danladi Halilu Envulu’Anza to contest in the 2023 general elections.
Envulu’Anza, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared intention to contest for the seat of Nasarawa North Senatorial Zone in next year’s general elections.
Reacting to the declaration, youth who took to social media, hailed Envulu’Anza, for availing himself to serve his people and assured of their unflinching support and solidarity.
They lamented that the incumbent, Senator Godiya Akwashiki has been missing-in-action, hence, their clamour for a change in the Nigerian Senate.
A youth leader, Ovye Danlami stressed that the election would be a walkover for the ruling party if he eventually becomes the party’s flag bearer, considering his antecedents and general acceptability in the zone.
Danlami however, enjoined supporters and associates not to relent but work assiduously until victory is achieved.
Also reacting, a grassroots politician, Hon. Kpaja Gbude, commended Envulu’Anza for accepting their clarion call to rescue the zone.
He regretted that the incumbent has been all noise and deception since assuming office in 2019.
Gbude vowed to sensitize and mobilize delegates and voters to rally round Envulu’Anza to victory.
