Ahead of the 2023 general elections coming up in Nigeria, the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has advised the electorate to vote wisely.
TUC Kaduna State Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi A. Danfulani handed out the warning at a press briefing to commemorate the 2022 Workers Day, held at their state secretariat on Sunday May 1, 2022.

“We are soon going to the polls again come 2023 to exercise our franchise by electing another set of leaders to lead us to another term in office.
“Our candid advice to Nigerians is to vote wisely,” he said.

TUC thanked its members for their continuous support and cooperation towards the struggle for decent work and better packages.
“We also wish to appreciate the Kaduna State Government for not only paying salaries as at when due but sustaining the payment despite the paucity of funds,” he said.
On the deteriorating security situation in the country, TUC called for aggressive and well coordinated fight.

“Deteriorating insecurity has reached an alarming state from the North to the South from the East to the West. The incidents of kidnappers, cattle rustling, Armed banditry and other sectarian crises, the country was virtually at war with itself.
“On our part we had called for a more robust and coordinated fight against the insurgents on our land and a more transparent process in the huge military contracts. We had made a point, that if we stood together in sincerity and unity, no army in the world could beat us,” he said.
