The Grow Nigeria Youth Movement comprising of different youth groups in Kwara state on Saturday organised mega rally to support Presidential bid of immediate past Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki in Ilorin.

The rally started from the Kwara state stadium complex through Taiwo road, to Unity road down to post office and the Peoples Democratic Party Secretariat.

Speaking to newsmen at residence of Saraki, the convener of the rally AbdulHamid Mohammed Adangba said what Nigerian need now is a leader with high intelligence who also has age on his side to cope with the rigours of the office, as against what we are currently witnessing under the current arrangements.

He said it would be easier for the PDP to win the upcoming Presidential election if Senator Saraki emerges the party’s standard bearer, because he is a pan-Nigerian leader who would be acceptable by all regions of the country devoid of any ethnic, religious and tribal consideration.

Abdulhamid also described Saraki as an embodiment of credibility and competence, considering his performance as Governor of Kwara state and president of the Nigerian Senate, which he said will be useful in directing the affairs of the country.

He reiterated that his group would in the next couple of months go round all the northern states to mobilise support for Saraki especially within the younger generations whose quest is for a leadership that would better their future.

While addressing the youth at Kwara PDP Secretariat, the Party state chairman, Babatunde Mohammed promised to deliver their message to Saraki.

Mohammed noted that the former Senate President possesses leadership qualities to Grow Nigeria.
