Any political party that fields a Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christian ticket in the 2023 Kaduna State gubernatorial polls in insensitive and would fail.
President of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU), Honourable Jonathan Asake dropped the hint, while fielding questions from newsmen at a press briefing at SOKAPU national secretariat in Kaduna on Thursday April 28, 2022.
“On a good day, Muslim-Muslim ticket or Christian-Christian ticket is dead on arrival in Kaduna State,” he said.
Speaking further, he said that if the two parties pick Muslim-Muslim ticket in the state, there would be another way out, because Kaduna people are wiser now.
He said, ” On Muslim-Muslim ticket, el-Rufai brought in the ticket to get in tune with idea he nurtured as a divisive governor.
” In a case diversity is manipulated, it brings in fighting and lack of peace. When el-Rufai said Christians were 30 and Muslim 70 per cent on Channels TV, it was a precursor to introducing Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“He had to invoke sentiment to get away with it,” he said.
