The acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe on Thursday, tasked the Kaduna Response Team (KRT) to campaign on issues and spread accurate information about what the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in Kaduna State has done to better the lives of the people and transform the state.
Dr. Hadiza Balarabe who led government officials, expressed this when she received the delegation of Kaduna Response Team (KRT) who paid a courtesy visit to Government House in Kaduna.
She said, “what they are doing should be for the betterment of the people. What they have started should continue even after 2027, we need to have people who have a sense of direction on what the government is doing, so that we can have similar transition from one era to the other”.
The acting governor, commended the efforts of the group, especially in providing information to the electorate about the successes of the APC administration in Kaduna State.
“We hope that 2023 with all that you have put on ground, will be for APC. I want you to make it a point in your dealings to get relevant information about what is happening on ground, so that whatever information you are giving out is factual,” she advised.
She said, there are a lot of things the government has put in place that a lot of people have not known, from the interaction from local government areas that she heard, there’s something that is missing in the information that they provided.
Hadiza urged them to focus on giving women a voice.
“They are to give them a platform on how to express themselves by coming out to use the PVC.
“However, I also want you to engage them and make them understand that there are some kind of dividends that will be useful to them, their children and grandchildren than what will be given to them to put in their pockets, hence they can express themselves so that their children and all other people will enjoy.
“A lot of the time, people go in, give one Naira, two Naira and that is all, but we want the situation where they will put on things that they will enjoy and other people will also enjoy.
“Furthermore, I want you to hammer on the way that they think about how election should be and what should happen with elections. Elections are not all about the money that we are being given, but it is about exercising our rights.
“Also, election is to see that we want this quality of person to provide us with education, so that we can really enjoy. People who actually believe in the ideology of the party rather than any other thing,” she said.
The acting governor, appreciated their kind gesture for her nomination as a grand matron, while hoping to meet with the expectations they desire from her.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of the Political Support Group, Mohammed Jalal, who inaugurated Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe as the Grand Matron of the KRT, also briefed the acting governor on the winning strategy the team is implementing to ensure the victory of all candidates of the APC in 2023 general elections.
He explained that their purpose of the visit is to explain what they are doing to the government officials so that they will be carried along in what they are doing.
He advised the party that they should take things serious and they should not take anything for granted.
“This election is going to be different, let us focus on the voters,” he advised.
