Former Member House of Reps, Hon. Shehu Bawa popularly known as ABG has described Presidential flagbearer of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as the best of all contenders seeking to succeed Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock.
He made the statement over the weekend in Zaria at a wedding ceremony attended by prominent figures in the country, including Kwankwaso whose supporters thronged the venue in their numbers to pay homage and allegiance.
ABG who is now a member and a chieftain of NNPP in Kaduna State, while eulogizing leadership virtues of Kwankwaso, enumerated various community and human development strides of the grassroots politician as a two-term governor of Kano State, Minister of Defence and Senator, saying millions of youth spread across Nigeria became famous in different fields of human endeavours courtesy of the founding father of the party.
While expressing confidence in the ability of the former Kano Governor to tackle poverty and provide enabling environment for teeming number of the county’s population, the former federal legislator stated that Kwankwaso had made pilots, engineers, architectures, entrepreneurs and professional sportsmen and women out of young Nigerians from poor backgrounds whom he noted were doing well in their respective chosen professions.
” If given the chance to superintend over this country, I assure you Kwankwaso will change our minuses to pluses within the shortest time and add value to leadership by building individuals through provision of enabling environment where small and medium scales entrepreneurs could thrive.
” He has the blueprint to solving the barrage of problems overwhelming the nation, ranging from banditry insurgency, inflation, poverty, decayed infrastructure, dearth of institutions of learning, corruption and many other challenges that this present administration has failed to solve.
” He has done it in all his previous public engagements where he distinguished himself in selfless service to country and the people.
” Go and make your findings in Kano and other states about the lives he has touched in positive ways and community development projects in his credit.
” His large followers spread across the country within a short period of time is a testimony of his popularity garnered through service to people at the grassroots who believe he can turn the country around if given the opportunity.
” Kwankwasiya has become a household name which cannot be ignored in the nation’s politics and political calculations and direction ahead 2023.
” I enjoin the electorate who want a brighter and better country and a prosperous future for their children to join the Kwankwasiya movement for progress, growth and development of our dear country,” he urged.
