2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup: SESC Chieftain, Dagana Congratulates NFF Over Flying Eagles Qualification

Following the Flying Eagles passage to the semi-final at the on-going 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations which has secured them a place at the 2023 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, the Chairman of the Bayelsa State Chapter of Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) Dr (Barr) Johnson A. Dagana has expressed happiness and congratulated the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau.

Barr. Dagana made the call in a statement issued after the Flying Eagles achieved both feats of beating the Hippos of Uganda 1-0 in their quarter-final clash at the Suez Canal Stadium, Ismailia on Thursday night.

Chairman of Chairmen for the Super Eagles Supporters Club described the qualification as a commendable feat for the Ladan Bosso tutored Flying Eagles, while urging the team to go for the ultimate prize of the competition which is to win the 2023 Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations.

“Congratulations to the NFF boss and the Nigerian football family and our Flying Eagles, who have guaranteed a spot in the Under-20 World Cup in May, as well as being through to the semi-finals of the U-20 AFCON,” Dagana said in a statement.

The Flying Eagles will face the winner of the quarter-final tie between Gambia and South Sudan in the semi-final on Monday 6th of March.

Dagana also appreciated and congratulates Alhaji Musiliu Alao who won the Orange Fan of the match award, an award from CAF for best supporter and also representing SESC in Egypt.
