2023: Amb. Buratai Tasks Forum Of Former LG Chairmen On Support For APC Candidates

The Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Amb. Tukur Yusuf Buratai has urged  Forum of Former Local Government Chairmen of Borno State to support all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the state in 2023 elections.

The Ambassador made the call while speaking during a courtesy call by the forum at his Farm House, along Abuja-Keffi Highway, Nasarawa State.

 Amb. Buratai commended the forum for supporting him and he also appreciated the Governor of Borno State, Prof Babagana Umara  Zulum for the giant strides’  in the area of security, particularly with the recently opened Gamboru Castle Market.

He therefore, urged the forum to support and campaign for all APC candidates from the Presidential to the State Houses of Assembly  in the forthcoming 2023 elections,

” I wish to urge you all and your associates and loyalists to support all the candidates of the APC from the presidency to Assembly elections come 2023.

” President Muhammadu Buhari has done well and his Excellency Babagana Zulum did well, so our support for the party to consolidate all the achievements is required.

” I appreciate your visit and kind words, but above them all, I urge us all to rally  support for the APC candidates in the 2023 general elections,” he stressed.

Earlier in his remarks,  the Chairman of the forum, Alh Mallum Bulani said their visit was among others, to appreciate the good works he did for the North East while serving as Chief of Army Staff, adding that it will interest the world to know that the North East major business is farming and marketing, where the insurgents  destroyed almost everything,

The forum chairman commended the former COAS for his efforts while in office in liberating the people of the North East from the hands of insurgents.

“We are here to appreciate you as our son for the good works you did and are still doing in addressing insecurity in Nigeria, and we have  come to submit our political allegiance to you, we are ready to follow you”.
