A Coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) local government chairmen of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone have called for a higher recognition for former Interim Chairman of Kaduna North Usman Ibrahim, popularly known as Sardaunan Badarawa for his loyalty to the party.
They made the call during a Sallah visit to Honourable Ibrahim’s Abuja home to pay homage to the APC stakeholder they described as a pillar of support, a patriot who they noted had used enormous material and moral resources to build and strengthen the party in the zone.
Kaduna Central is the most populous of the three Senatorial zones in the state with seven local government areas.
They are; Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Kajuru, Birnin – Gwari, Giwa, Igabi and Chikun local government areas.
The chairmen who conveyed their messages one after the other, urged Sardaunan Badarawa to continue his good works for the party, adding that rewards for selfless and noble service were inevitable in this world and beyond.
They mentioned some contributions of the former local govt boss to include; installation of solar powered streetlights in strategic areas across the zone, including burial grounds of both Muslims and Christians, empowerment of youth and women, scholarship for the less privileged, feeding the less privilege during the recent Ramadan fasting across the central senatorial zone and among others.
“Sardaunan Badarawa has distinguished himself with several human development projects meant to help the needy and to integrate diverse members of the society towards achieving a common goal.
“His philosophy has been to treat people equally irrespective of their ethnic, religious or political affiliations.
“Such a detribalized individual deserves a prominent role in our party for progress, unity and overall growth of the APC at state and federal level.
“His great service to party and humanity cannot be enumerated easily on pages of newspaper nor can his good work be overshadowed with passage of time.
“Despite losing the party’s ticket to Senator Uba Sani in 2019 by emerging the first runner-up, he didn’t abandon APC as others would but continued his party building efforts to ensure growth and success of our great party.
“It is our submission here that he be acknowledged and rewarded with an important role so he can widen the scope of his selfless service” they stated.
While responding to position of the chairmen, Sardaunan Badarawa reassured people of Kaduna Central Zone of his continuous support, commitment and resolve to contribute his quota for their collective development, renewing his confidence in leadership ability of Governor el-Rufai to complete development strides for the state.
