As Muslims worldwide mark yet another Eid-el-Kabir in commemoration of sacrifice and obedience to Allah’s injunctions by Prophet Ibraham and his son Ismail, former Interim Chairman of Kaduna North Hon. Usman Ibrahim, popularly called Sardaunan Badarawa has solicited prayers from muslim faithful for president Buhari and Governor Nasir el-Rufai to overcome security challenges in Nigeria and Kaduna State.
Hon. Ibrahim in a sallah message expressed confidence in ability of Governor el-Rufai to achieve greatness despite the current security challenges confronting the State which he noted would soon be a thing of the past because, according to him the governor would leave no stone unturned in bringing back an enduring peace to the capital of the defunct Northern Region.
He emphasized the potency of supplication, particularly that of people in distress, adding that Allah would surely answer Muslims’ prayers for their leaders at the auspicious occasion of Sallah.
The 2019 Kaduna Central Senatorial aspirant who also holds the traditional title of San-Turakin Hausa, attributed security challenges facing the country to non-chalant attitudes of Nigerians to seeking the face of God in their affairs as they concerned governance, stressing the complimentary role of prayers in achieving greatness.
“I have no doubt about the sincerity of our leaders at state and federal level to genuinely provide exemplary leadership capable of changing the society for better.
“This can be attested to the massive infrastructural development daily taking place across Nigeria to change the narratives and impact positively on lives of countrymen and women.
“The railway system being revived and modernized to ease transportation for people and goods across the country is a pointer to the fact that it is just a matter of time before light is found at the end of the tunnel.
“Kaduna state, the capital in particular has been given so much attention by Governor El-Rufai who has practically changed everything about the outlook of the metro through urban renewal initiative.
“I urge the good people of Kaduna Central to use this sallah period to pray for peace, harmony and development of the entire state.
“Development can only thrive and be achieved in an atmosphere of mutual commitments where citizens see success and failures of their leaders as theirs, ” he said.
He also called on foodstuff and ram sellers to bring down the prices of their goods in the spirit of the Sallah festivity.
