Eid-el-Kabir: No Going Back In Ensuring Hitch Free, Peaceful Celebrations, Oyo Police Command Assures

Oyo State Police Command on Monday declared that there is no going back on its readiness to ensure peaceful and hitch free Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in and across the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Vivian Ngozi Onadeko gave this assurance in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan signed on her behalf by the Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Adewale Osifeso.
CP Onadeko emphasized that the command has put in place  adequate security measures to ensure a hitch free and peaceful celebrations in this year’s Eid El Kabir in Oyo state.
She stated that strategic security deployment spanning the length and breadth of the state have been mapped out, and that these deployments would be characterized by; increased visibility policing, aggressive stop and search, convoy patrols and intelligence-led surveillance before, during and after the festivities.  
“The Federal Government has announced Tuesday, July 20th and Wednesday July 21st, 2021 as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebrations across the federation.Sequel to this, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, CP Ngozi Onadeko, wishes to inform the general public that adequate security measures have been put in place ahead of the 2021 Eid-El-Kabir celebrations and beyond with strategic security deployment spanning the length and breadth of the State”, she said.
CP Onadeko added, ” it is worthy to note that strategic partnerships with sister security agencies alongside local hunters and vigilantes would be intensified” 
The Commissioner of Police then reminded  the people of Oyo state of  the importance of embracing all stipulated COVID-19 protocols especially with the incursion of the Delta Variant in some parts of the country”
She then tasked that ” the event of distress call or dissemination of useful information, citizens are advised to call the Police Control Room Numbers, 08081768614, 07055495413 and 615 (Toll Free) from Oyo State Security Trust Fund”, and that the people of the state should remain law abiding and relentless in providing the Command with credible and reliable information.
