Oyo NSCDC Arrests Two Suspects, DAF Tanker Over Alleged Diversion Of Petroleum Products

Two suspects are now in the net of the Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly diverting  petroleum products suspected to be premium motor spirit (PMS) also known as Petrol.
The state NSCDC Commandant, CC Michael Akintayo Adaralewa who disclosed this in Ibadan while parading the two suspects at the command’s office on Thursday warned that there is no room for diversion of petroleum products in and across Oyo state.
Identifying the arrested suspects as ” Akeem Adesola(M)  30years from saki and Benjamin Adeniyi (M) 29years, Commandant Adaralewa said the suspects were arrested with their truck, a blue Leyland  DAF with registration number  EKY 189 XV along Iseyin/Saki Road around 1500hrs on Wednesday 14th July, 2021 by the Antivandal Unit of the Command.
” NSCDC  Oyo state command will not  leave any stone unturned in dealing with the perpetrators who belief  in  sabotaging the effort of the government.The Command has zero-tolerance for criminalities hence, all perpetrators are to either relocate out of Oyo State or face the wrath of the law ”, he said .
The Oyo state NSCDC Commandant disclosed that the command had  re strategise by improving on intense patrol of crime prone area in the state to combat any act of criminality .
CC Adaralewa stressed that after thorough investigation is completed the suspects would be charged to Court . 
However, the driver of the tanker confess that the destination of the product is  Ibadan as written on the waybill
