Shun Bauchi–Abuja Based Politicians, Gov Bala Tells Citizens

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has implored the people of Bauchi State to shun the Abuja politicians of the state, whom he said, are not doing anything other than bringing mischief to the people.

The Governor at a flag-off of Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme (KEEP) in Darazo Tuesday told the people, “Don’t listen to the Abuja politicians who have nothing to offer other than to pull Bala Mohammed Kauran Bauchi”.

According to him, those Abuja politicians are not doing anything tangible to the people other than bringing mischiefs, stressing “I know some leaders of Bauchi who are busy bringing criminals to the state”.

“I would talk when the time comes. We are going to be tough, but certainly we are not afraid of them, I mean all those idiots coming to bring criminality to make us have sleepless nights, we are ready for them, we are not afraid of anybody”.

He added, “You have seen what is manifesting in Bauchi of recent, criminality everywhere, kidnaping and stealing. It is not just like that, we have security reports and we know those behind it”.

The Governor said the fact that government is quite and allow everybody to go round in Bauchi does not mean that those elements no matter how highly placed cannot be stop from their evil machinations.

“By the grace of God I have become Governor with or without them, and of course I will live my time allotted to me by Allah. I may go for second term, I may not live up to that time, I may go for the presidency, there is nothing they could do”.

Governor Bala however singled out a presidency aide, Malam Ya’u Darazo whom he described as a friend, compatriot and professional colleague who was busy constructing township roads and drainages in Darazo, saying he is working closely with him to uplift the living standard of the people.

Senator Bala Mohammed also warned some members of traditional institutions in the state whom, he noted, are compromising to allow people with criminal background to perpetuate criminality, assuring that government will not spare them.

“Though Iam a member of a traditional institution in the state, but anybody found wanting we will discipline him, because we will not allow people to make our lives and properties compromise”.

He similarly advised people to eschew rumour and rumour mongering, hatred, treachery and mischief as such would eventually lead to insecurity and jeopardize their ways of livelihood.
