*says few cases reported in past 10 days

Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force on Thursday asked residents in the state to continue to comply with all advisories aimed at curtailing the spread of COVID-19 as the deadly virus is still very much within the society.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, Mr Taiwo Adisa, the Task Force reminded the people of the state of the need to also embrace the ‘Own Your Action’ (OYA) initiative introduced by the state government at the peak of the pandemic.
According to the Task Force, residents in the state should stick to the guidelines of wearing nose and mouth masks in public gatherings, washing of hands with soap and water and use of hand sanitisers, among others, the Task Force stressed that it has reported a few cases of COVID-19 over the past 10 days.
“There are credible reports of the resurgence of the CoronaVirus infection in various countries and continents of the world..The Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force has reported a few cases over the past 10 days”, it said.Oyo Task Force added, ” the advisories on curtailing the spread of the coronavirus infection, including wearing of nose and mouth masks in public gatherings, washing of hands with soap and water, the use of pharmaceutical grade alcohol hand sanitisers and avoidance of crowds beyond the recommended numbers are still in place”.
