Former Governor Yari Deserves To Be Next APC National Chairman – Aide



A political aide to former Zamfara State Governor AbdulAzeez Yari Abubakar, Dr. Sulaiman Shuaibu Shinkafi said his boss deserves to be next chairman of ruling All Progressives Congress ( APC ) in the party’s convention scheduled to hold before end of 2021.

He said this in Kaduna while receiving an award on behalf of the former Governor who he stated had contributed immensely to the growth and development of APC and Nigeria’s democracy in general , adding that Mr. Yari had been a grassroot mobilizer , a visionary leader who could go to any length to achieve goals for his party in her march to resounding victory towards 2023.

Dr. Shinkafi outlined some notable achievements of Yari to include ; building an enduring structures for APC in Zamfara and across the northern states , ensuring a lasting cohesion within stakeholders in the ruling party both at state and National level , enthroning discipline and party’s supremacy amongst members and stalwarts of APC , urging all stakeholders , delegates in particular to support Yari to ensure a fair deal for all in the party.

Earlier , Chairman Nigeria Union Of Journalists , New Nigerian Chapel Comrade Nicholas Dekera , revealed that former Governor Yari was chosen as recipient of the award of excellence due to good track records and his antecedent as grassroot politician who he noted began politics from scratch , building individuals and empowering polity , anchored on service to humanity and country.

He added that Yari emerged overall winner when Political personalities were scrutinized and juxtaposed vis-a-vis their contributions to polity , nation building , developing grassroot political movement , peace and unity advocacy among others , declaring that the former Chairman of Nigerian governors had no match among his peers to bag the NUJ New Nigerian Chapel’s award .

Dekera reiterated resolve of the Chapel’s Excos to recognize hardworking individuals who according to him stood out in selfless and community development service , humanity , politics , business among others.
