*demand N20m for one victim

Bandits in large numbers on Wednesday night, invaded Ungwan Gimbiya in Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna metropolis, abducting 14 persons.
Our correspondent who visited the area, counted about five houses that were broken into, with some occupants abducted, sparing the women.
In two of the affected houses, the terrified wives of the victims were spared, while their husbands where whisked away.
One of the wives said that already, they have contacted them and are demanding 100m Naira for the release of her husband.
JTF Commander Ungwan Gimbiya unit, Emmanuel John Ambi in an interview with our correspondent, confirmed the incident.
“Yesterday we confirmed 13 people were taken, but when we went there today, they added one more making 14.
“It happened around 10:10pm. They came in large numbers all armed with AK 47 rifles.
“We informed Police, they came in about two Hilux trucks and took their records,” he said.
The JTF Commander called on goverment to give them logistics.
“Even yesterday, we could not repel them because we were short of logistics.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kaduna State Command, ASP Jalige said he was yet to be briefed on the matter.
He however, promised to get back when details are available to him.
