Immediate past governor of Zamfara state and leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, Dr Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar has promised to sponsor the education of the children of late APC chieftain, Alhaji Bello Dankande Gamji who died on Tuesday at the age of 56 years.
Yari made the promise in his condolence message to the family of the late Dankande Gamji.
The former governor said he had constituted a five-man committee under the leadership of Alhaji Muhammad MuAbdul’ Rini with Alhaji Sani Kauran Malan, Alhaji Rabiu Ilili Bakura, Alhaji Abdullahi Alfa ‘Yarkufoji and Alhaji Umar Muhammad Jarma as members to ascertain the expenditure of the education of his children at all levels with a view to providing them an effective care.
Yari described late Dankande Gamji as a loyalist and staunch party person whose major concern was the development of his people.
“Late Hon. Bello Dankande Gamji was not only a stakeholder or a leader in his community but, a hero in the country at large who sacrificed his life for the betterment of the country at large.
“I was deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the passing away of my immediate Lieutenant and close associate who served under different capacities during my tenure as Executive Governor of Zamfara state.
“I would like to, on behalf of my humble self and the entire members of the All Progressives Congress, APC convey our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family, friends, people of Bakura and the entire state over the passing away of this courageous, loyal and patriotic citizen,” he said.
Yari prayed to Allah to grant the family of late Dankande Gamji and those he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“My prayers are with the family of this great man. May the Almighty Allah grant him Aljannah Firdausi,” he said.
