Chairman, Senate Committee on Local Content, Senator Teslim Folarin on Friday alerted that Oyo State has become theatre of violence, killings, kidnapping and all sort of crimes.
The Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District raised the alarm during a condolence visit to the family of Rahmon killed during the Iwo road area mayhem in Ibadan between men of the Oyo State Motor Park Management System and some traders in the area.
Senator Folarin lamented that it was unfortunate that the peace brought to Oyo state by the immediate past administration of late Senator Abiola Ajimobi has been turned upside down by the present administration in the state.
” Governor Ajimobi bequeathed peace and security to Governor Makinde-led administration but things have turned upside-down. No day passes without breakdown of law and order”, he said.
Senator Folarin added, ” Oyo State has become theatre of violence, killings, kidnapping and all sort of crimes. The latest killings at Oremeji-Agugu and Iwo Road must be investigated by the Nigeria a Police with a view to bringing perpetrators to book”.
Commiserating with the Rahmon’s mother, wife, siblings and friends at their Gbagi residence, Senator Folarin condemned the excesses of the Oyo State Park Managers System led.
While lamenting that “Governor Makinde has taken Oyo State back to the Egypt”, Senator Folarin prayed to Almighty Allah to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
