Residents of Jenta Adamu Ward in Jos North Local Government Area are full of praises to the Rescue Administration of Governor Simon Lalong and the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area, Shehu Usman for the ongoing construction of Jenta Makeri, Summit Road linking Jenta Mangoro in the locality.
This they said is the first time their community is witnessing government’s presence since the inception of democracy in 1999.
It would be recalled that Governor Simon Lalong had in the past two years, assured the inhabitants of Jenta Adamu Ward that the Rescue team under his watch shall award the contract for the construction of the Jenta Adamu Ward road network before the end of his administration.
In fulfillment of his promise, Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area, Shehu Usman awarded the construction of Jenta Makeri and Summit Junction road linking Jenta Mangoro to ensure commuters and motorists feel the impact of the Rescue Administration.
Youth Leader of Jenta Mangoro, Williams Garba, the Women Leader, Salome George and other residents of the area explained the road had before now, brought untold hardship to the inhabitants of the area due to its dilapidated nature.
Councilor representing Jenta Ward, David Odo who said people of the area had previously made passionate pleas to different administrations in the state however, the Rescue Administration has turned their frustration into joy.
Reacting, to the development, Management Committee Chairman, Shehu Usman said the administration will continue to initiate programmes that have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the area.
The Chairman noted that the Jenta Adamu road is of great concern to the Rescue Team of Governor Simon Lalong and his administration.
He called on the inhabitants of the area to continue to support the present administration as it strives to provide more dividends of democracy, noting that Governor Simon Lalong is a national leader who should be given higher responsibility in the future
