Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: Benue Leads in 203 New Cases, Total 166,518

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said there were 203 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) in five states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Monday 31st May 2021.
The pandemic was detected in the following states yesterday: Benue 178, Lagos 10, Ondo 6, FCT 4, Kaduna 4 and Plateau 1.
As of 11.50 p.m. on 31st May 2021, NCDC had confirmed a total of 166,518 cases of the global virus infections in Nigeria since the index case was reported in the nation.
Out of the total, the disease control agency disclosed that 158,781 cases had been treated and discharged from the country’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while COVID-19 deaths recorded to date is 2,099.
COVID-19 killed 28 people in Nigeria on Monday.
