Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 63 New Cases, Total 166,254

There were 63 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) in seven states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Friday 28th May 2021.
The COVID-19-afflicted states were: Lagos 25, Ondo 22, Rivers 6, Akwa Ibom 3, Kaduna 3, Kwara 2, Ebonyi 1 and FCT 1.
As of 11.32 p.m. on 28th May 2021 the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) had had a total of 166,254 confirmed cases of the global virus since the index case was detected in the nation, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its twitter account.
According to NCDC, 156,546 people who were infected with the disease had been treated and discharged from the country’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the disease had claimed the lives of 2,071 patients in the country to date.
COVID-19 killed nobody in Nigeria on Friday.
