Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 48 New Cases, Total 166,146

Nigeria was infected with 48 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday 26th May 2021.
The new cases were found in the following five states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja as follows: Lagos 22, Rivers 11, Enugu 11, Kaduna 2, FCT 1 and Gombe 1.
According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), as of 11.22 p.m. on 26th May 2021, the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN)had recorded a total of 166,146 confirmed cases of the global disease since the index case occurred in the country.
Out of the total, 156,529 persons who contracted the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the ailment had killed 2,071 patients in the nation to date, NCDC reported on its twitter platform.
COVID-19 killed nobody in Nigeria yesterday.
