Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Grand Patron of the Atiku Care Foundation, has condoled
Director, Administration, Atiku Care Foundation (ACF), Linda Obi over the demise of her father, Late Chief Chukwuemeka Obi.
This was expressed in a letter signed by the Director General of Atiku Care Foundation, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, dated May 26, 2021.
On behalf of our Grand Patron, former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, we write to commiserate with you over the tragic loss of your dad, Late Chief Chukwuemeka Obi.
“We received the news with a heavy heart and remain deeply touched over the sad occurrence,” the letter said.
It further said that they are however, consoled by the fact that during his life time, he impacted positively on all those he came across.
“He would be truly missed not just by the family, but Anambra State and Nigeria in general.
“We pray that Almighty God grants him eternal rest,” they prayed.
Late Chief Martins Chukwuemeka Obi was a native of Ezenwelike village, in Ukunu-Eziora Ozubulu, Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State. Date of Birth, 10th August, 1959.
He was the second son but the fifth child from his parents, a union between late Mr Fidelis Obi (An Educationist who grew to the position of the village head master, retired at that grade and enjoyed his pension till his death and late Maryann Obi (who was a business woman known around the eastern region of Nigeria).
Late chief Martins Chukwuemeka Obi had five siblings and seven step siblings.
