Stakeholders in Jos North Local Government Area have passed vote of confidence on the Management Committee Chairman, Shehu Bala Usman for bringing them together irrespective of their divides to celebrate Eid el fitr.
The stakeholders in attendance were the past and present political appointees which include Secretary to the Government of the State Professor Danladi Atu, Commissioner of Transport, Mohammed Abubakar, All Progressives Congress State Secretary, Barrister Bashir Sati Musa, former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Anna Izam, former Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area, Theresa Azi and Philip Nyam as well as principal officers of Jos North Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event, Plateau State Commissioner for Transport, Mohammed Abubakar praised the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area for uniting and bringing citizens of the area together despite their diversity, noting that, peace and peaceful coexistence is the only instrument that fosters development.
In his remarks, the acting State Secretary of APC, Bashir Sati Musa said the celebration afforded them the opportunity to brainstorm and resolve issues that hinder the progress and unity of the local government, while the former Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government, Theresa Daniel Azi noted that Shehu Bala Usman has put up a legacy worthy of emulation by all citizens.
Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government, Shehu Bala Usman said his administration shall continue to work in line with the policy thrust of the Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State where peace, development and unity of people of the area shall continue to be his top priority.
The Chairman described Governor Simon Lalong as a national leader who believes in the peace, progress and unity of the people of the state and the country as a whole.
He appreciated all the present and past political appointees for honoring the invitation, stressing that this amongst others is part of the annual event laid by his administration to foster unity, peace and peaceful coexistence within the area.
