Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 43 New Cases, Total 165,852

In its daily update on Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19), Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported that it detected 43 new cases of the pandemic in six states of Nigeria on Wednesday 19th May 2021.
The names of states that were infected by the global virus are: Lagos 19, Rivers 14, Katsina 5, Jigawa 3, Kano 1 and Oyo 1.
As of 11.56 p.m. on 19th May 2021Nigeria had been infected with a total of 165,852 confirmed cases of the worldwide disease since the index case was discovered in the country.
Out of the total, 156,456 patients who tested positive for the virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,067 people had been killed by the pandemic in Nigeria to date.
COVID-19 killed nobody in the country yesterday.
