Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: Ondo Tops 69 New Cases, Total 165,778

A daily update on Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed that there were 69 new infections of the virus in three States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Monday 17th May 2021.
The states where the pandemic was found on Monday are: Ondo 35, Lagos 30, Rivers 3 and FCT 1.
As of 11.40 p.m. on 17th May 2021 Nigeria had been infected with a total of 165,778 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the index case was reported in the country.
Out of the total, 156,415 patients who tested positive for the global virus had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the nation had lost 2,067 lives to the pandemic to date.
One person was killed by COVID-19 in Nigeria on Monday.
