Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 7 New Cases, Total 165,709

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that there were seven new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease in Nigeria on Sunday 16th May 2021.
The new COVID-19 infections were detected in the following two states: Niger 5 and Rivers 2.
As of the end of 16th May 2021 the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) had been attacked by a total of 165,709 confirmed cases of the pandemic since the index case was recorded in the nation.
Out of the total, 156,413 cases had been treated and discharged from the country’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,066 patients had been killed by the global virus in the country to date.
There was no COVID-19-related death in Nigeria on Sunday.
